My absolute all time favorite song. I recorded off of the radio, then I bought the cassette, then the album, now the CD.... We spent about a week in my high school English class going through this song line by line talking about what all the symbolism meant. I LOVE this song!

Buddy Holly was so cool. No, he will not be forgotten!
P.S. love your dogs and your dog story. I love animals. We have one mini pinscher(a rescue dog), and a sometimes funny, sometimes snotty cat.
I worked for the Humane Society of NY for many years. Glad you rescued yours. There needs to be more people like you out there!
