Just Keep Going, You Got Nothing To Lose

I wanted to share this video I ran across on facebook. I run across a lot of videos on facebook, but what caught my attention about this was that 2 of my friends shared this video. These 2 friends do not know each other, they live in different states, have different lifestyles.

I first want to state, this video was put together by someone involved with wearechange.org. I am not affiliated with this group, and in all honesty, don't really know about them. I am posting the video because I thought the answers of random people on a subway were quite interesting, and the fact that 2 people from 2 totally different walks of life posted the same video on facebook...

Remember smile, laugh and appreciate the person next to you on this journey called life!

Anna,

Good share! If we as society want to change, I think we have to put away our cell phones, Ipads, or laptops when we go out the front door. Or at least put them down for a bit.

We are at a time in our history where we can stay connected (cell phone, email, social sites such as Facebook, etc.) with all of our "friends" at any time of the day. I think this has hurt the random conversation with those that we meet in public. The video showed no one talking to each other on the Subway, but I bet most if not all would be communicating with someone while they rode the subway. That person just wouldn't be the person sitting next to them.

Technology has allowed most people the ability to hide in plain sight. Before the laptop became commonplace, you couldn't help but get into a conversation with those sitting next to you on an airplane. Now everyone has one, and the randomness of talking to someone has decreased sharply. I was getting my oil changed yesterday and everyone in the waiting area was either on a laptop, cell phone, or reader (kindle). You've seen this before right? Someone is paying for something and still talking on their cell phone with no cashier interaction. Coffee shops use to be a place to meet and talk. Now they advertise free Wi-Fi so you can talk to someone not even in the room. Crazy! Technology is awesome and has brought many closer together. And conversely, technology has made our world a little lonelier. Think about it!
